The learning journey
Friday belongs to our Cuban maestros, accompanied by a professional percussionist on both congas and bata drums. Together they take you through Afro-Cuban folklore, rumba, and son, laying the foundations everything else builds on.
Saturday takes those foundations and turns them into mambo. Our international superstars, together with the Unity team, all share the stage, building the modern techniques and concepts that let you dance mambo with anyone, anywhere in the world. Exclusive concepts that you can take as a teacher and as a student to continue developing our scene.
Sunday builds on Saturday again, going deep into mambo but increasing the level and intensity: cha cha cha, pachanga, boogaloo, afro, rumba, even hip hop. Same collaborative teaching, same room, one more layer added on top of everything you've already learned. Warning: this will test your level in ways you have not experienced yet.
The parties
Every night runs a full 100% Salsa social from 7 pm to 2 am, with multiple DJs, shows and dancing throughout. Friday night closes with the Unity Showcase, a lineup of professional performances from our guest national and international artists. Saturday night, the party is led by a live band, the kind of night that carries itself on the music alone; the cherry on top is the live band bootcamp show led by Misaki.

In 2027, we move 12 minutes away to Albert Palais, in the heart of Leichhardt; a five-star venue for a five-star weekend:

264 dancers came through in 2026, up 40% from the year before. Every year this event has grown, and every year we've kept it smaller than it could be, on purpose. The goal is the highest possible quality, not the biggest crowd.
You don't need a partner to attend. Come solo or come with someone; both work fine.
If you dance with a school, check with your instructors before you book. Some schools have a special arrangement with us, and it's worth asking before you buy at full price.

No. Solo attendees and paired attendees are both completely normal here. Plenty of people come alone every year.

All workshops across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, plus entry to both party nights. The bootcamp is a separate add on and is not included in the Full Pass.

Friday's Afro Cuban roots day is open to any level dancer. Saturday's mambo workshops run from fundamentals through advanced, so genuine novices and experienced dancers are both catered for. Sunday's challenge and fusion day assumes you're comfortable with mambo/salsa on2 already.

You're still welcome here. Friday's workshops cover salsa's roots rather than a specific timing, so they're open to any style. Saturday builds the foundations of on2 specifically, which makes it a great way to add on2 to what you already know.

All ticket sales are final. In line with Australian Consumer Law, you're entitled to a refund only if there's a significant change to the event, specifically a change of venue or a change to a headline artist advertised at the time you purchased. Minor schedule changes don't qualify. If the event is cancelled outright, you get a full refund.

Friday's dress code is unity colours. Saturday is dress-to-impress, formal gala.

How do I get there from the city? Buses stop right outside the venue. It's about a 13 minute Uber or taxi ride from the CBD.
Is there parking? Yes, parking is available around the venue, plus secure parking five minutes away at Norton St Forum.
